Lola is a modern Greek Mediterranean inspired restaurant that servers up a variety of fresh gourmet cuisines. We were fortunate enough to start our trip off on the right foot by selecting Lola as our first eating spot. Below is a list of the items we ordered, each of them tasting better than the next. If I had to pick one item from this list, it would be the pancakes with vanilla mascarpone and maple syrup. The mascarpone was light and fluffy, while the maple syrup was sweet but not over-powering. I even dipped my bacon strips in the maple syrup and ate them up. Not sure what they do different with their maple syrup but it got my attention.

After having our late breakfast at Lola, we decided to skip lunch and hold out for dinner. Most of our day was spent walking around Seattle and enjoying the atmosphere. We searched and searched for our next place to eat but found that everything was a distant walk. We eventually settled down at the Blue Water Taco Grill, which was right by our hotel. It wasn't our first choice and maybe if we had found another restaurant, we may have never gave this place a shot. I ordered the 2 taco combo; one chicken and one steak with rice and beans. We also got the veggie nachos as a community platter to share. After taking the first bite of my chicken taco my mind was at ease about not finding another place to eat. The chicken was juicy white meat with a delicious marinade topped with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, pica de gallo, and spicy salsa. The steak taco was nothing special and the spicy salsa made the nachos great. If you ever go to this place, stick with the chicken tacos with spicy salsa. You wont regret it.
