Rhode Island Style Chili Dog

You can't be a fan of Man vs Kitchen and not be a fan of Guy Fieri. After making a trip to Costco and purchasing a large pack of Nathan hot dogs I was craving some chili to top them off. Canned chili would have been a simple solution, but that's not how we do it at Man vs Kitchen. I needed to find a good recipe. So that is what I did, found Guy's recipe and add a little zing. If you like chili without the beans, then give this a shot. It's simple and delicious.

How To Make French Fries

Everybody knows How to Make French Fries, but these directions will show you how to make french fries everyone will love. This is more of a how to article than a recipe for french fries. We should all know what ingredients are needed, but lack the knowledge required for preparation. These french fries are golden crispy strings of starchy goodness.  Sorry Dr. Atkins!!!

French Macarons are becoming more and more popular. These macarons may be fragile and small but they pack a punch when it comes to taste. Think Little Mac from Punch Out! Great part is, they come in many variety of flavors. So far, I have tried vanilla with white ganache, lavender tea with lander tea infused milk ganache, green tea with green tea white ganache, raspberry with chocolate ganache and of course these chocolate macarons you see pictured. Macarons are the transformers of deserts. Mix and match or create new flavors, the possibilities are endless. What flavors have you had? or would like to have?

Spicy Jalapeno and Chipotle Coleslaw

Not all slaw is created equal. The spicy, yet tangy, flavor sets this coleslaw apart from the rest. Best of all this man food is healthy! Yes, that's right. Absent the mayo, this Spicy Jalapeno and Chipotle Coleslaw is refreshing and light. Anton Jackson would be so proud! (There is a little trivia for you, comment if you know what I'm referring to)

Chipotle BBQ Chicken

Man food extraordinaire! BBQ chicken has a place in every mans heart. This recipe takes it one step further by adding chipotle peppers in the mix. Make your Chipotle BBQ Chicken as spicy as you'd like by adding more/less chipotle peppers to your BBQ sauce. How manly are you?

This dish goes great paired with our Spicy Jalapeno and Chipotle Coleslaw and Peppery Parmesan Potato Wedges.

The worlds largest meatball weighed 222.5 lbs. That may be one hell of a challenge to eat for any man, but I assure you it won't taste as good as this spicy smoked mozzarella meatball. If your craving some Italian this mouth watering meatball is one that you should eat. If you end up with leftovers you can toss the meatballs in Italian rolls and cover them with the marinara to make a delicious meatball sub.

Be sure to try this with the Tomato and Basil Bruschetta.

Bruschetta with Tomato and Basil

An appetizer whose origin dates back to the 15th century. These simple appetizers are also known as fettunta in Tuscany, which means "oiled slices". The raw nature of all the ingredients make the bruschetta a refreshing and healthy appetizer. In addition to fresh basil and tomato, extra-virgin olive oil is a great source of monounsaturated fat which is linked to reducing heart disease. Even though this is a healthy appetizer, it should still be considered man eats.

Simply Roasted Garlic Chicken

Every time I hear roasted chicken, I think of Costco's chicken in its plastic shell. The other day my wife tells me, "Lets have roasted chicken this week". Without giving it much thought I told her I would pick one up from Costco before she gets home from work. Immediately, she says "Noooo, I want it homemade!!!" I began thinking how much of a pain in the ass this was going be, we didn't even have a roasting pan. My wife gets home the next day after work with a new roasting pan and what I thought would be a recipe for disaster. She found a simple recipe online taken from The Marshall Field's Cookbook. The mission was set...
