Buffalo Chicken Sandwich Buffalo Chicken Sandwich Talin B

Chicken wings with lots of hot sauce. Nothing is more of a man food than that. So why not make a sandwich out of it? What follows below is exactly that. A slab of chicken cooked and smothered in mouth watering hot sauce, dropped on to some french bread with mayo, lettuce, and avocado. Now that's hot.

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 Loaf French Bread
  • 2  Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast Halves
  • 1 Tbsp + 1/2 tsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper (to Taste)
  • 4 Tbsp Frank's Hot Sauce

For Serving:

  • Lettuce Leaves
  • Sliced Tomato
  • Sliced Avocado
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Mayo or Ranch for dressing

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice Chicken breasts into fillets. You should end up with 4 fillets. Dry them thoroughly and season them with chili powder, garlic powder, 1 Tbsp olive oil, and salt and pepper. Massage the chicken so the seasoning is spread over all fillets evenly.

2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the remaining 1/2 tsp olive oil, add chicken to heated pan and cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 2-3 minutes on each side until thoroughly cooked). Once fully cooked remove chicken from skillet let sit for a few minutes and then slice. Pour the hot sauce all over the chicken and mix until chicken is completely coated.

3. Assembling your sandwiches: Slice bread to desired thickness, place in oven to toast for a few minutes. Once toasted spread in a small amount of mayo or ranch, layer on the lettuce, tomato, avocados, and cheese, then top with chicken and close.

4. Enjoy!

In hot sauce, remember that it is better to start out too mild than too hot. And if you cannot handle the heat or do not care for sauces, they don’t consider yourself as one of the chiliheads.
